TASTING NOTES:
Lawson Dry Hills Reserve Sauvignon Blanc – The palate has lots of juicy citrus fruit character, a zingy acidity and great concentration. Some old oak barrel fermentation has contributed to the texture while adding an extra dimension to the wine’s flavour and overall complexity.
Dog Point Sauvignon Blanc – Bright, fresh, citrus driven sauvignon, with elements of honeydew melon, pears and gala apples in the background. A very pure, yet restrained, classic sauvignon expression. The citrus core of flavours are juicy and intense. Deliciously refreshing acidity and mellow rounded texture on the finish. The wine calls for fresh, simple seafood, but as usual, can be enjoyed on its own.
Greywacke Sauvignon Blanc – Imagine yellow-fleshed peaches, rock melon and blackcurrant – a sponge cake with lemon icing, chamomile and hints of rose petal. This is a delicately perfumed and deliciously ripe-fruited interpretation of Marlborough sauvignon blanc. The palate is both subtle and textural, showing considerable ripeness and concentration, with a crisp and long, juicy finish.
Tohu Whenua Awa Sauvignon Blanc – With texture and complexity, fruit for this wine is grown using organic practices on our Arapoto block, high above the Awatere River. Punchy aromatics, herbaceous, uniquely Awatere.
Saint Clair Block 3 – Green capsicum with layers of freshly cut jalapeno and tropical passionfruit notes. A mineral and salty richness lead to a long lingering finish.
Marisco The Kings Favour Sauvignon Blanc – A classic Waihopai Sauvignon Blanc delivering tropical notes of guava and gooseberry with underlying ripe citrus and boxhedge aromas. The texturally-layered palate builds from a stone fruit and blackcurrant foundation and ends with persistency stemming from vibrant Marlborough acidity.
